On arrival at Brussels National Airport (located in Zaventem), take the Airport City Express to Brussels North Station (Brussel-Noord/Bruxelles Nord). This train runs at 4, 26, 36 and 52 minutes past the hour; the trip takes about 15 minutes. First train at 04.30 AM, last train at 00.23 PM.
From Brussels North Station there are two railway connections to Hasselt:
a) the Inter City IC E to Hasselt/Tongeren; this train runs every hour at 39 minutes past the hour and arrives in Hasselt after 67 minutes. First train at 5.39 a.m., last train at 10.39 p.m.
b) the Inter City IC K to Hasselt/Genk; this train runs every hour at 18 minutes past the hour and arrives in Hasselt after 71 minutes. First train at 5.18 a.m., last train at 10.39 p.m.

By carFrom Brussels: first take the E40 motorway in the direction of Luik/Liège. Next (near Leuven) take the E314-A2 in the direction of Aachen. Then (beyond the Lummen exit) take the E313 in the direction of Luik/Liège. Take Exit 28 (Hasselt-Zuid).
From Liège: take the E313 in the direction of Antwerp. Take Exit 28 (Hasselt-Zuid). After leaving the E313 at exit 28, turn left in the direction of Hasselt and drive for about 100 metres. At the second traffic light, turn right and keep following this ring road (grote ring) until you come to the seventh traffic light, turn left. This road is the “Elfde-Liniestraat”.
